Derived from an original acrylic painting on canvas, representing abstract florals made from stencils and spray paint, the work Blue Inferno by Texas-based artist Zeke Williams underwent a digital metamorphosis. The delicate florals and spray paint splatter in Blue Inferno expose the use of spray paint as a reference to ocean spray and the ocean's turbulence, overlayed with the fragility of nature through floral abstraction.
Collection Twenty-Three acknowledges the delicacy of our oceanic ecosystem and will benefit Mission Blue, a global organization founded by legendary oceanographer Dr Sylvia Earle.
